1 Samuel 7: 13-14
13 So the Philistines were subdued and they stopped invading Israel’s
territory. Throughout Samuel’s lifetime, the hand of the Lord was against the
Philistines. 14 The towns from Ekron to Gath that the Philistines had captured
from Israel were restored to Israel, and Israel delivered the neighboring
territory from the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel
and the Amorites.
Title: The
restoration
Message: God is
faithful and truly reliable. The Israelites turned to God. They settled on
worshiping Him and keeping their faith on Him. Thus, they regained what they
had lost and peace among them was restored.
Promise to Claim: God never
breaks His promises. He forgives and supplies our needs just like what He did
to the Israelites.
Command to Obey: Let us
turn to God.
Warning to Heed: Defeat
comes to those who unfollow God.
Application: I will
seek God’s guidance as I convince my family members and students to turn to
Him. I will seize every opportunity to share His word and make people around me
realize the authenticity of His existence and promises.
