Exodus 40: 34-38
34 Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord
filled the tabernacle. 35 Moses could not enter the tent of meeting because the
cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36 In
all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the
tabernacle, they would set out; 37 but if the cloud did not lift, they did not
set out—until the day it lifted. 38 So the cloud of the Lord was over the
tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the
Israelites during all their travels.
Title: The accomplishment
of God’s dwelling on earth
Message: Skills and
efforts can be used to appease God. Through serving Him and doing what’s
favorable to Him, we will be forgiven. The Israelites sinned against God.
However, as God commissioned Moses to build the Tabernacle and each article
concerning it all of them actively participated and did their best in coming up
with what God exactly commanded them to do (Exodus 36-40). As all had been
accomplished God’s glory hovered the place, a manifestation that represented
God’s appreciation of their endeavors. And again, God guided the Israelites in
their journey to the Promised Land.
Promise to Claim: God
forgives and forgets. He bestowed each of us the skill and the talent we need
for the accomplishment of our purpose. He recognizes all our efforts for His
glory and He rewards each of those.
Command to Obey: Obey God’s
commandments, never delay. Let us use our talents and abilities to serve Him for
in due time we will achieve His rewards.
Warning to Heed:
Disobedience sets distance between us and our Father.
Application:
He
bestowed me the abilities and the skills I need to perform the tasks that He
assigned to me, to fulfill my purpose; thus, I’ll be using these for the
accomplishment of such.
