Lucia Alcantara of Grade
9-Leah won the title Ms. Best Model Asia-Pacific Philippines 2016, an event
held last January 27 at the URBN Bar on Tomas Morato, Quezon City. She represented Taytay, Rizal and out of 14 female
contenders, it was she who secured the title. On the other hand, Rey Martinez
of Mabalacat, Pampanga got the judges’ nod for Mr. Best Model Asia-Pacific
Philippines 2016. Besides the title, Lucia was awarded as Ms. Dermaworld and Ms. Photogenic.
Lucia said
that winning the competition was never easy for her considering the number of
classes she missed and the challenges she underwent during the training. Just
imagine a 15 year old teenager who had to walk with ease and grace in 6 to 7 inch
heels.
Nevertheless,
she made it. She’s back to school now and trying to make up for everything she
missed while she waits for the Regional Modeling Contest which she said will be
held this year.
