TUMCSI High School Department

Happy 26th birthday TUMCS!
The sanctuary quenches the parents’ thirst for guidance and the gymnasium blazes as  the 26th Founding Anniversary of the institution is celebrated.
February 14, Valentine’s Day and people of the Taytay United Methodist Christian School date with God at the Taytay United Methodist Church. It’s the school’s Joint Worship. The sanctuary is filled with students,  parents, faculty and staff from three departments – preschool, elementary and high school -  who, all together thank and glorify God for the twenty-six bounteous years of TUMCS.
February 15, students and teachers alike prepare for the parade out of the campus.  Miss Cayetano, the principal gives her opening remarks and thrilled students in colorful jerseys line up as the parade starts.
As they come back the gym, the lighting of the torch marks the beginning of the intramural. Juzzrand Gimena runs the torch for the second year, Jeff Francisco represents the third year and Neil Anjo de Jesus did it for the fourth year.
Mr. and Miss Intramural candidates take the crowd’s attention as they introduce themselves and show off the sports attire of their choice. Confidence oozes as each candidate speaks before the panel of judges.
CJ Delgado of III-Leah, who appears to be the most confident of all, wins the title,  Miss Intramural. Patricia Camonayan of I-Luke, who happens to be the tallest and has the most winsome smile,  garners the first runner-up whereas the petite and shy Pauline Lachica of IV-Solomon   bags the second runner-up.
For Mr. Intramural, Jeff Francisco of III-Leah earns  the title. Evan Ranier Garcia of IV-David takes the first runner-up and Sean Nicolai Santiago of III-Rachel seizes the second runner-up.
Exhibition of physical prowess and stamina follows. Basketball, volleyball, badminton and chess games capture everyone’s interest as players start displaying their abilities.
February 16, Seminar on Parenting assembles the parents at the sanctuary. Ptr. Clem Guillermo, Managing Editor of Back to the Bible speaks before the attendees and calls their attention on bringing up children with dignity and a sense of responsibility.
February 17, games continue and the gym blazes as players for each team seize the championship title.
February 18, Championship games sizzle the court while the  Power Box exhibits the history of different cultures at the fifth floor.
As the celebration concludes, winners for each game are awarded. Closing of the food booths follows as students go on their separate ways.
The celebration ends but my gratefulness to  God does not.  It is because He keeps on pouring His blessings unto the institution and the people in it despite everything.TU
