Verse: Ephesians 2:4-7 (NIV)
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.
Title: Eternally yours, God
Message: God's mercy and grace overflow that we have been forgiven despite all our sinful deeds. It was His great love that provided us salvation through Christ.
Promise to Claim: The book indicated God's willingness to "show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus" in the future.
Command to Obey: Follow Jesus. Acknowledge God's unceasing love and generosity and we will never be alienated followers.
Warning to Heed: Sinful acts set us apart from God (Ephesians 2:5).
Application: My self-interests overcame my desire to serve God that I've become disaffected member of the Christian community. Nevertheless, my heavenly Father unceasingly shower upon me kindness, love and protection. Thus, I must heed the call.
