Verse: I Samuel 10: 5-7
5 “After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, timbrels, pipes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying. 6The Spirit of the Lord will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. 7 Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.
Title: When destiny calls...
Message: "The Spirit of God changes men, wonderfully transforms them" (Henry, n.d.). This is what these verses indicate. When God chooses us to serve Him, He overpowers us. He makes us perform unthinkable deeds. It is He who sets our destiny and we must earnestly heed.
Promise to Claim: God is with us. As we fulfill His appointment, he will guide us.
Command to Obey: Let us perform our responsibilities as Christians. Let us do what God requires us to.
Warning to Heed: Disobedience brings out God's wrath (Ephesians 5:6).
Application: Obedience to God and walking in His light can be very difficult. However, it's our Father's requirement. Thus, we must do.
