1 Samuel 2:3-4

3“Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance,

for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed. 4 “The bows of the warriors are broken, but those who stumbled are armed with strength.

Title: Boast not

Message: Speak not of something inexistent for that is arrogance. Our fellows can be fooled but God cannot. He sees each of our deeds as he knows every inch of us. And He’s the one who evaluates our actions and decides on what each of us deserves.

Promise to Claim: God rewards the meek. He never forsakes those who need guidance and comfort. He arms the weak and make them strong.

Command to Obey: Let us manifest God’s meekness. Let us reflect humility in each of our actions regardless of whom we are with, whenever and wherever we are.

Warning to Heed: God does not like pride and that He disciplines those who are arrogant.

Application: I will seek God’s guidance in all that I do that I may forget arrogance and pride. I will focus on God that it is He whom will be glorified in my every deed and not myself.
