Athena

Protector of a fox so guileful,
A goddess now serves as a guardian angel.
I must assist Odysseus in a battle that’s purposeful
A warrior forced to leave his precious jewel.

I appear out of the blue
For him to unravel
That I am still true
His protector, no one else

The war has ended
Odysseus became a victor
The man I guided
Full of vigor.

Adventures here and there
Boundaries  were crossed
Mighty mortal was in despair
Lives were lost.

None can fathom
Divine powers I possess
Athena, who’s  full  of wisdom
After all, I am a goddess.
